Dear Room 73 Families,

Welcome to Mrs Lamb’s 4th grade class! The 2017-2018 school year is going to be a GREAT year full of fun and learning!

As some of you have already heard, this year my class has been chosen to participate in an Online Blended Learning environment. I am excited to announce students will have the opportunity to utilize a variety of online resources on a daily basis.

Blended Learning is a modern approach to teaching that has proven to increase student understanding and achievement. A blended learning classroom makes online content accessible to all students and increases student engagement – don’t we all enjoy using technology! To learn more about Blended Learning go here.

In accordance with our Common Core Standards, students will utilize online programs, such as Google Drive, Moby Max, and Zearn to access content, assessments, and learning tools. Students will receive personal username/passwords for these sites, as well as, instruction and support in the use of all these programs. As much as possible, assignments will be accessed from an online learning environment.  Students will be strongly encouraged to complete all homework assignments using an online platform, too.

I am very excited for this new adventure and hope you are, too! I look forward to meeting everyone and can't wait to start this new school year!

                                                                   Lots of smiles,
                                                                                    Mrs. Lamb
